As a tutor I was awarded Math Tutor of the Month twice, August 2007 and January 2009, and was promoted to Tutor 3 status, a position reserved for only a select group of highly qualified tutors. As a self-employed test prep teacher, I help high school juniors and seniors prepare for the SAT and ACT exams. My efforts have resulted in repeat business with younger siblings and many referrals. Ideally I like to meet with students 6 sessions to cover all subjects; however, I believe one or two customized sessions are superior to lengthier classes where time can be wasted on unfocused strategies and practice.
