I have tutored all ages of students up to those needing SAT prep. I'm now a Curriculum Writer for a school project; focused on 2nd grade literature, I've substituted for 3rd to 5th grades and have taught students in gifted enrichment classes. I tutor elementary and middle school math, biology, reading, writing, essay editing, grammar, literature, and college essays as well as American history, study skills, Earth science, religious studies, and social studies. Taking pride in my organization, I enjoy helping my students learn how to be organized and focused, as well as motivated. I have two young kids of my own and enjoy the opportunity to teach them to love learning. Certified in Elementary Education and Special Education, I graduated from Duquesne University and have a master's degree, with a Reading Specialist certification, from Slippery Rock University. I taught in public school for seven years, working as a 4th grade teacher for three years and a K-4 reading teacher for four years, before taking my career to the next level in the Cyber School environment. I also love cooking and eating healthy, working out and, the talkative and entertaining person that I am, socializing in the company of my children and other families.
