Experience
Currently, I am a full-time Spanish teacher at a local middle school. Also, I am a professor at a local community college where I teach Spanish. While I currently work with college and middle school students, I do have experience working with people of all age groups. I have worked with high school students, adults, preschoolers, and elementary school students. I find working with people of all ages to be rewarding. Each age group has its own challenge, and I enjoy helping students overcome those challenges. When tutoring, I like to get to know the student's background. Knowing their learning styles and the goals they want to accomplish through tutoring are two things that help me tailor my lessons for the individual student. I went to the University of Florida, where I earned my bachelor's degree. I also attended George Washington University, where I earned my master's degree. Lastly, I received my language teaching certification from the University of Pittsburgh. My main goal is to have my students be successful in what they're learning. When I am not working, I thoroughly enjoy traveling (especially to Spanish-speaking countries). I love learning about different cultures. I also enjoy trying out new foods at these different travel destinations.
