I am a resident of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and a graduate of Columbia International University. I love working with students and helping them learn. To me, learning takes place when the passion that every student feels about something in his or her life is connected to the subject at hand. My job is figuring out what my students are passionate about and making that connection. Getting to know my students is, therefore, an essential part of the tutoring process. My reward is the joy of watching them finally "click" with a subject they've previously found challenging. I am comfortable working with ESL and ELL students, and I am available to tutor English (reading, writing, grammar, and mechanics), and all levels of Spanish. I can also assist students in preparing their college admissions essays. In my spare time, I enjoy writing (and reading) all sorts of poetry and fiction, taking nature walks, practicing photography, attending Little League baseball games, sketching, knitting, window shopping, and collecting random bright blue objects.
